      So Nausicaa Of the Valley of the Wind is one of Hayao Miyzaki's earlier works, What I didn't know was that before this was a movie this was actual a manga first. (Mind Blown) As a fan of Hayao Miyzaki I watched the movie before knowing about the Manga, so it was interesting to go back and read it after already seeing it in anime format. What surprised me the most was the fact that I preferred the movie verses the manga, only because of the lack of color. The line and sketch work is still amazing because of who created it, but you don't get the same sense of space and depth as you do if you were watching the movie.

   If you're unaware of what Nausicaa Of the Valley of the Wind is about, it's about this girl named Princess Nausicaa who lives in the Valley of the Wind. Nausicaa has a thing for nature and wants to help it out even though the land is poisonous in various regions other than her valley (and other select few). Even though Nausicaa wants to help, Other people from various countries want to start a war with the poisonous forest. To find out more I suggest you either read it, or even better watch the movie to have a wondrous experience you'll never forget!
