Cigarette Girl, and Abandon the Old in Tokyo Discussion

Cigarette girl . . .was kind of confusing to say in the least.
This book is a bunch of short stories that all kind have . . . the same kind of characters . . .
It makes me think that all of theses stories are the same going characters through different life events, when it's really not. These short stories were made for those after the post war in japan, so I may not have understood the basic of the short sorties as a whole.

Now moving on to Abandon the Old in Tokyo.
This was a very short portion of a short story manga. the main male lead, never says anything, but the women around him (his mom and girlfriend) say everything under the sun and put extreme pressure on him. He has to make the decision to either take care of his mom for the rest of his life (the same mom who claims to have done everything to raise him, which we learn later she was a escort) or start a new life with his girlfriend and running away . . . in order to find out what happened I'll leave you to read it for yourself!
